IT Project Specialist

Main Sail is seeking an entry level information technology professional to join its team as an IT Project Specialist.
Main Sail helps organizations evaluate business issues and develop and implement solutions. We provide expertise in 5 major areas: Business Process Management, Program & Project Management, ERP, Systems Engineering & Integration and Program Staffing.
Main Sail is looking for a personable, energetic IT professional that has a strong computer background and aptitude for learning different business applications quickly.
This individual will always be looking for new and better ways for Main Sail to
use its systems and tools or will identify better tools and systems to keep
our organization a leader in our industry. The IT Project Specialist will need
to understand the company’s business processes to work with various departments
in the company to help users leverage tools and systems in the best way to
achieve organizational objectives.
In addition to working with users, the IT Project specialist will spend part
of their time gathering data from the company’s business applications to supply
senior managers with analytical data that will be published on dashboards to
measure the company’s performance against established goals and metrics.
Primary Areas of Responsibility:
Training users to maximize Main Sail's business application systems and tools
Generate documentation in support of data processes
Help design, develop, deploy and manage BI dashboards
Required Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Experience training users and developing user documentation with PowerPoint or similar tool
Computer Science or Information Systems degree (or four plus years of related experience)
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Database design, development, implementation and
maintenance (2 years experience preferred)
Knowledge of Advanced Microsoft transact-SQL query skills (SSAS preferred)
Knowledge of OLAP, data cubes, ETL
Knowledge of BI principles and theories
