We are looking for an ambitious Electrical Designer who enjoys teamwork, client relationships and on-going challenging projects. This position will produce complete control solutions and electrical design packages based on customer specifications and standardized design practices for custom automation assemblies. This position will require very little travel, extended hours are not expected with this position. Company places value on work/life balance.

Job Responsibilities:
Work with team members, customers, project managers, designers, toolmakers and electricians to solve problems in order to provide the customer with a product or service compliant with their requirements.
Integrate third party equipment and electronic component entry into electrical design package, such as serial communications, hardware handshaking, opto isolation, electrical and ultrasonic welding applications, vision systems, motion control products, transducers, and signal conditioners.
Formulate and produce complete electrical design package which includes detailed schematics, cable routing diagrams, panel layouts and bills of material.
Review and evaluate new controls related products to provide cost effective and up to date controls solutions.
Provide primary technical assessments of team members to the department manager for performance evaluations with current and future personnel.
Specify all electrical and controls related hardware/software and produces requisition forms for material purchases.
Provide customers with training specific to their current project, i.e.: electrical hardware,

Education and Experience:
An Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in electronics, electrical and/or controls technology.
A working knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to keep abreast of leading-edge technology is essential. A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Strong mechanical and electrical problem solving skills in a custom automation environment.
