As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for providing solutions for new equipment, re-tooling and rebuilds, redeployment of existing equipment, and the expert in automation and downstream systems. You will provide the highest level of mechanical and technical expertise to all levels of the manufacturing plant and be part of the Corporate Manufacturing Engineering team. This team is the foundation for success in taking care of the plant and equipment in a high-speed injection molding environment and is critical to future growth and success. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, determine root cause, work often with outside vendors for new equipment procurement, and development and manage projects from concept to commercialization. This role is still hands on and will need experience in design of new equipment and new electrical or mechanical systems with SolidWorks.
 
To be successful in this role:
  • Technical degree in Engineering or similar – Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, etc.
  • 5+ years plastics production equipment experience - Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Extrusion, or OEM preferred, or experience with automation, assembly, etc in a manufacturing environment
  • LEAN Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma knowledge a plus
  • Demonstrated experience and success with vendor management and equipment procurement
  • Experience in hands on project management and commercialization
  • SolidWorks or other CAD experience
