Power Optimization Center Operations

Chicago based company with international operations is looking for an experienced power optimization engineer to join our team. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to travel, grow professionally and utilize your knowledge to help our customers implement our products, read on!

What you'll do:
Use your operations experience to understand computerized plant models and apply that information to the plant situations.
Implement tools designed to detect potential equipment and system abnormalities and develop policies for alarms and routine investigation.
Develop and deploy computerized operational monitoring tools within the plants to be monitored by the Power Optimization Center.
Identify potential plant operational improvement opportunities through effective use of the Power Optimization software applications.
Provide technical expertise as requested by power plant management to assist in the resolution of plant operational issues.

What you need:
3+ years of hands-on Plant Operations experience monitoring Real Time systems and models.
Established expertise in multiple aspects of fossil plant equipment and systems operations.
Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the aptitude to learn several new software applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance principles and practices and/or Predictive Maintenance technologies.
Knowledge of power plant equipment condition monitoring and diagnostic technologies.
Proficiency OSI PI, etaPRO, SmartSignal or other Plant Information performance software.
