Do you have a strong PRODUCT DESIGN background in the area of Medical Devices, Drug Delivery products, Syringes, Inject-able devices, etc.?
Are you strong with the entire product development life cycle, from inception, design, testing, production, etc.?
We are currently seeking a SENIOR ENGINEER with a significant amount of product development experience in the medical device field. This role will be directly involved in the design and development of various medical devices and drug delivery systems including mechanical designs, selection of materials, product testing and working with manufacturing engineering and suppliers to develop manufacturing processes.
This is a KEY role in the design of the next generation of products and we need a senior individual with the following (MUST HAVE):
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent. - MUST HAVE A 4-YEAR degree
10+ years of product development experience is desired, 5 or more of targeted, specific experience may be acceptable.
Experience in the mechanical design and development of complex delivery systems for single use medical devices.
In addition to the above listed MUST haves, the following will also determine how strong your profile fits our needs:
Extensive experience in the testing and selection of material for biocompatibility and sterilization, especially plastics.
Working knowledge of applicable FDA and ISO standards
Definition of technical solutions for product developments
Leading design engineers in developing technical solutions
Transfer of designs to manufacture through liaison with manufacturing engineering and external suppliers.
Hands on experience with SolidWorks CAD
